Introduction

The DFAT is a department of the Government of Ireland that is responsible for promoting the interests of Ireland in the European Union and the wider world. PKS provides onsite support specifically with the department that provides a range of services to Irish citizens such as passport services, travel advice and visas.

Challenge

The team within the DFAT responsible for the management and production of Irelands National ID Card personalisation and dispatch of circa 8000 ID cards a month across two sites relying on critical but ageing equipment that is out of manufacturers support.

Solution

PKS provide on site preventative maintenance and break fix support to both locations with a 2-hour response and next business day on site intervention. Working closely with IAI the manufacturer of the card production equipment and Neopost the mailer to provide innovative solutions to any problem that arises
